Patricia Blok : 5th Dan, Yoshinkai Aikido, and 5th Dan World Kobudo Federation

Patricia Blok Patricia Blok Shihan Dai received her 5th degree black belt from Terada Kiyoyuki Hanshi (Hombu Dojo) in June 2003 and a 5th degree black belt from the World Kobudo Federation in November, 2002. Patricia Blok Shihan Dai (senior instructor) began Aikido in 1981. She graduated from 20-month instructor's programs under both Takashi Kushida Sensei and Blok Kyoshi and holds an international teaching license from Japan. Blok Shihan Dai teaches basic adult classes, children's and Little Samurai classes at the Chudokan.

Gary Gascoigne : 5th Dan

Gary Gascoigne Gary Gascoigne Renshi began Aikido in 1983. He graduated from a 30 month instructor's program under Blok Kyoshi. He was promoted to 5th degree black belt in December 2006 and holds a 2nd degree black belt in Karate. Gascoigne Renshi also has a bachelor of science degree in physics, was a Captain in the Royal Canadian Air Force and currently owns 2 businesses in the Windsor area.

Stan Mauro : 5th Dan

Stan Mauro Stan Mauro Renshi began Aikido in 1990 and has graduated from a 60 month instructor's program under Blok Kyoshi. He was promoted to 4th degree black belt in October 2002 and teaches adult intermediate and children's classes at the Chudokan. He is also an Instructor Trainer in On Guard (Police-style Defense and Control Tactics). Mauro Renshi currently runs a full-time personal protection business (online resume).

Julius Rosenstein : 3rd Dan

Julius Rosenstein Julius Rosenstein Sensei began Aikido in 1975. He graduated from 20-month instructor's programs under Takashi Kushida Sensei and Blok Kyoshi. He was promoted to 3rd degree black belt in November 1991 and holds an international teaching license from Japan. Rosenstein Sensei was an instructor at the Wayne State Aikido Dojo in Detroit MI and now assists at the Chudokan. He is employed as a production supervisor and has a college degree in business administration.

Gale Brydon : 2nd Dan

Gale Brydon Gale Brydon Sensei began Aikido in 1994 and has graduated from a 10 month instructor's program under Blok Kyoshi. She was promoted to 2nd degree black belt in October 2001. She currently teaches adult basic classes at the Chudokan dojo. Brydon Sensei is employed as a medical lab technologist.

William Taylor: 2nd Dan

Bill Taylor Bill Taylor Sensei began Aikido in 1998 and has graduated from a 17 month instructor's program under Blok Kyoshi. He was promoted to 2nd degree black belt in October 2002. He currently teaches adult basic classes at the Chudokan dojo. He graduated from a community college Mechanical Engineering Technologist program in 1986. Taylor Sensei is employed as a Quality Coordinator.

Michael Smith: 2nd Dan

Michael Smith Sensei began Aikido in August of 2001 and achieved the level of Shodan in May of 2005.  He has graduated from 53 months of Kenshu (intensive instructor level training classes) under Blok Kyoshi.  Smith Sensei was promoted to the level of Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in June of 2008 and assists with the children's classes at the Chudokan.  Smith Sensei is a graduate of the Canadian Institute of Customs Brokers, holds a Qualified Persons Status License from Revenue Canada Customs and Excise and has been employed at a Customs Brokerage firm for twenty years.
